Hanoi’s Hang Ma Street has been extraordinarily busy in the run up to Kitchen God Day as Tet nears.
The street is full of votive ancestral worshiping objects and decorations Kitchen God Day, which falls on Lunar December 23 (this Sunday). Even the street sign has been covered by the goods.
Shops are full of colour, with Kitchen God items attracting the most customers. Most of these products cost from dozens to hundreds of thousands of VND.
These votive objects are hung all over the shops and even on pavement. They are also hung on trees or sold by vendors.
